Aguila rallied past Santa Tecla to surge ahead in the championship series. Aguila looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Aguila made 8 blocks. Panamanian forward Pablo Rivas (198-1994, college: NCCU) stepped up and scored 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and power forward Brayan Garcia (194-1998) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. Rivas is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Aguila players scored in double figures. Aguila's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American Cameron Lard (206-1997, college: Iowa St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds and American-Puerto Rican guard Brian Vazquez (190-1994) scored 21 points.
